WE-EF signs Diversity Charter

As a luminaire manufacturer with worldwide operations, WE-EF is committed to equal opportunities and working relationships based on respect. The signing of the Diversity Charter is in keeping with WE-EF’s open corporate culture and sends a signal – for more tolerance and appreciation at work and in society.

With the Diversity Charter, WE-EF and other participating companies underline the importance of a diverse and inclusive corporate culture. To date, more than 4,700 organisations and institutions have signed the charter, stating their commitment to treating all employees equally – regardless of their age, ethnic origin and nationality, gender and gender identity, physical and mental abilities, religion and belief, sexual orientation and social background. With its commitment to diversity management, WE-EF promotes the diversity of its employees as part of its human resources strategy and organisational development. This includes training and development of employees in a prejudice-free, respectful and inclusive environment.

Initially formed as an initiative, the Diversity Charter became an association in January 2011. It works to anchor diversity in business and society, promotes the exchange of knowledge and experience among the signatories and supports the implementation of diversity management. Chancellor Olaf Scholz is the patron. The initiative is supported by the Federal Government Commissioner for Migration, Refugees and Integration, Minister of State Reem Alabali-Radovan.
