Since our founding in 1950 sustainability has been an extremely important element of the WE-EF DNA and the processes we have created and adopted ensure that we lead the way in sustainable practices for our industry. This commitment is never more important than today as we consider our future responsibility to the environment and how people live their lives. We call this our People & Planet Strategy.

To move beyond minimizing harm to actively creating a positive impact for both the environment and society. We have centred our sustainability strategy around two over-arching elements; People & Planet, and the positive effect that we wish to have on both, through our everyday business practices and the contribution our employees make to society and the environment.
By encouraging all employees to be active drivers of change they create and produce products that enhance community well-being, putting comfort and safety at the heart of our solutions. We also treat everyone responsibly, fostering an inclusive and safe environment for employees to develop and flourish, whilst caring for their physical and mental health and well-being.
When we consider the protection of the planet, we champion a circular economy to achieve climate neutrality through energy efficiency and emission reduction. The importance we place on mitigating light pollution is evident in our thoughtful design and engineering process, dark sky solutions and those created with the protection of wildlife in mind.
