AFL100 Series Receives a Special Mention at FOCUS OPEN 2024

The AFL100 series of street and area lighting luminaires, designed by WE-EF designer Lara Rogalski, made a lasting impression on the jury of the Baden-Württemberg International Design Award: “The design of this luminaire is reduced to a minimum, which is precisely why it deserves this award,” the jury stated. They added, “Thanks to its formal restraint and modular concept, this luminaire is suitable for a wide range of public spaces. The well-thought-out technical features are particularly noteworthy.”

With its timeless and minimalist design, the AFL100 post-top luminaire seamlessly integrates into any environment and emphasises sustainability from the outset. However, it is in operation where the AFL100 series truly excels. With its low energy consumption, highly efficient LEDs, and optimised lenses, it sets new benchmarks for efficiency. Featuring diverse light distributions, including asymmetric forward, and rectangular options, the series meets all typical urban lighting requirements – from park promenades to pathways and streets in residential areas, as well as inner-city plazas and traffic corridors.

The Baden-Württemberg International Design Award, commonly known as FOCUS OPEN, is a well-established fixture in the international design competition landscape. It is awarded annually by the Design Center Baden-Württemberg. Its non-commercial orientation and transparent participation conditions make it particularly appealing to medium-sized companies with innovative product or service concepts.
