Case Study: Little Para River Trail, City of Salisbury

Image 1

Little Para River Trail in South Australia offers lush spaces, picnic areas, and playgrounds, attracting visitors by day and nocturnal wildlife by night. Stretching from Jenkins Reserve to Carisbrooke Park, it’s part of the Salisbury City Wide trails.

Previously, the trail was accessible only during daylight, limiting early morning or late-night use. To address this, the City of Salisbury collaborated with Buckford Illumination Group and WE-EF LIGHTING to implement wildlife-sensitive lighting, enhancing wayfinding while minimizing ecological disruption.
