Light is essential to our lives, but it can have far-reaching impacts on the environment when not managed responsibly. At WE-EF, we believe that lighting should enhance spaces while minimising harm to the environment. That's why our focus is on creating lighting solutions that balance performance with environmental care, including energy efficiency, night-sensitive lighting, and reducing light pollution
At WE-EF, sustainability is an ongoing commitment that touches every part of our business. We divide our sustainability efforts into six focus areas:

Our night sensitive Products
Discover all ProjectsWE-EF’s product portfolio includes a range of luminaires designed to protect night-time ecosystems while providing reliable, efficient lighting for urban and natural spaces.
Our luminaires are designed not only to last but to minimise their environmental impact during use. Night-sensitive lighting addresses the way light is used outdoors, balancing visual needs with the non-visual effects of light on humans, animals, plants, and the night sky. Our advanced LED optics and integrated light shields help prevent stray light and protect ecosystems.
We prioritise light quality and precision, directing light only where it’s needed.
Many of our luminaires are certified by the International Dark-Sky Association (IDA) (or the Australian Dark Sky Alliance (ADSA)), ensuring they meet the strictest standards for reducing light pollution.
Our luminaires integrate smart control systems for responsive dimming and adaptive lighting that reduces energy consumption and environmental impact. These systems allow for precise control, ensuring that light is used only when necessary.
We offer tailored luminaires with warm colour temperatures (2200 K and PC (True) Amber) to minimise impact on wildlife, ensuring that light pollution is kept to a minimum.
