Preserving nature with precise optics at Lakeshore Park
Lakeshore Park in Knoxville, Tennessee, is a 185-acre public park that welcomes approximately one million annual visitors. In the fall of 2024 Lakeshore Park Conservancy completed Phase 2 Part 1 of the updated master plan for the park. This included enhancements to 25-year-old trail system to improve walking experience, and new recreational facilities including sporting grounds, playground and pavilions. An essential part of this plan was upgraded lighting, providing visitors with visual comfort, safety and accessibility well into the evening.

Transitioning the park from day to night
Tillet Lighting Design Associates chose WE-EF’s VFL540 street and area luminaires for precise light distribution along the park’s various trails, parking lots, and sidewalks. The luminaires are low-glare and provide a sharp cutoff to prevent light spilling into the surrounding vegetation. Additionally, WE-EF’s PSY bollards aid in wayfinding, and STI134 steplights illuminate the amphitheater.
