ETC140-GB inground luminaires are now also available with wallgrazer [A6] light distribution
Arcades, pillars, structured façades: rhythmic vertical elements are ubiquitous in architecture. WE-EF inground luminaires with the new wall-grazer [A6] light distribution are the ideal tool for emphasising such elements with grazing light.
When showcasing architecture and urban space with light, planners are often faced with the task of emphasising narrow vertical objects or surfaces with accent light. For example, free-standing pillars, arcades or the rhythmic supports of a façade between windows. Flooding light distributions are not suited to this as a lot of light passes by the target surface and radiates into the night sky or through windows into the interior of the building. A narrow and slightly asymmetrical light distribution that can be precisely aligned to the surface to be illuminated is the optimal solution here. WE-EF has developed the asymmetrical linear wallgrazer [A6] for such applications. It is now available for ETC140-GB, ETC140-GB-CC and ETC140GB-TW inground luminaires.
The narrow light distribution of this optic is uniformaly distributed over a great height – up to approximately 15 times the distance to the wall. Thanks to highly efficient lens technology, the directed light effectively highlights the texture and character of the vertical target surface, even with low wattages. The gimbal suspension of the luminaires in the IP67 housing allows the light to be precisely aligned. Wallgrazer [A6] light distribution, also in combination with colour changers or tunable white, means there are no limits to the possibilities for presenting architectural features.
