Optics

IOS® Innovative Optical System ensures precise beam control with minimal glare and light spill, achieving full cut-off distribution (ULOR = 0%) to reduce skyglow and meet environmental standards. Its optimised shielding and optional accessories enhance performance for sustainable illumination.

OLC® ONE LED Concept uses a multi-layer lens system for uniform, energy-efficient lighting with strict light control, minimising light pollution and ensuring easy LED modular replacement. It provides a balanced, energy-saving solution for street and area lighting, combining safety, comfort, and efficiency.

WE-EF Colour Boost Technology combines four-channel colour mixing with dynamic power management, increasing luminous flux by up to 40%, while Tunable White Technology allows for adjustable colour temperatures, offering infinite variations between warm white, neutral white, and cool white to create dynamic lighting effects with smooth transitions and precise control.

Controls

Smart lighting solutions bring flexibility and efficiency to architectural lighting by dynamically adjusting illumination based on presence and movement. Eco Step Dim® Motion, combined with PIR motion sensors and smart controls, enables luminaires to dim when areas are unoccupied and brighten instantly when movement is detected, ensuring both energy savings and safety. These intelligent systems can operate independently or in synchronised networks, allowing for tailored lighting scenarios that enhance ambiance while minimising light pollution.

Light sources

The development of high-quality and efficient LED lenses is one of WE-EF's core competencies. WE-EF possesses the expertise for design, engineering and production. WE-EF is able to apply its expertise gained from long experience in the development and operation of LEDs. For example, at the SONY Center in Berlin, in 2004, WE-EF was involved in one of the first major LED projects. It was an invaluable advantage, both in understanding today's possible LED technology and in converting this knowledge into innovative lighting solutions.

Design services

WE-EF’s design services leverage extensive experience and expertise to create customised lighting solutions that meet the unique needs of each project. Their dedicated design department works closely with clients, understanding the vision and requirements, and translating them into innovative, functional lighting designs that enhance both aesthetics and performance.

At Berlin Brandenburg Airport, WE-EF provided a lighting solution using FLC141 projectors with special mounting spigots for the differentiated illumination of the open area. Eight 16-meter high light columns with integrated projectors were installed to avoid external mounting. The result was efficient lighting that met new regulations while ensuring an unobstructed view of the airport building, covering a 14,000 square meter area.

At Tullmarine Freeway, WE-EF provided RMT320 pole luminaires with integrated emergency sensors and a special powder colour, replacing sodium vapor lamps with energy-efficient LED luminaires. The solution was designed to meet Australian lighting standards while fulfilling the aviation authority’s requirements. The result is improved light quality and a 25% energy saving.

The lighting transformation of Old Parliament House in Australia involved a custom solution tailored to its unique architectural features and heritage status. WE-EF provided FLC200-CC and VLR100-CC luminaires, designed for dynamic colour-changing effects, while overcoming challenges such as integrating DMX communication within the constraints of existing infrastructure. The result is a refined, efficient lighting system that enhances the building’s façade, meeting both aesthetic goals and technical requirements.
