Mulberry Grove, The Forestias Villas is an exclusive housing development nestled in greenery at the heart of The Forestias, a project with a strong emphasis on sustainability and preservation of the natural environment community where nature, wildlife and human co-exist in harmony. The architectural aspect of the housing may be inspired by Thai architecture, but the true essence of this concept is so much more. The concept derives from the Asian family values where different generations live together under the same roof in a reachable proximity. Foster + Partners called this concept ‘Family Clustering’, where the houses are interconnected and within close reach, while remaining private.

APLD chose WE-EF to illuminate three focus areas of the villa complex: the entrance, the main residential area and the clubhouse garden. The main objective is to create a pleasant and comfortable lighting environment while highlighting the landscape architecture with luminaires that are easy to install and maintain. Our FLC121 projectors come with drivers integrated in the ground spike made exclusively for the Mulberry Grove project making it an unparalleled choice for a landscape application. Along the entrance pathway, EFC120 marker lights were used for road marking for subtlety, instead of a typical pole installation.

APLD has also specified the ZFT430 post top luminaire in their last residential project at Sindhorn Village, Bangkok. The decision was made not just for its elegant and clean design but for WE-EF’s ability to provide customised solutions according to requirements. For that reason, ZFT430 post top luminaires were reselected for this project main residential area. Nineteen post tops were installed with customised poles, integrated with CCTV. The luminaire PMMA cover lenses are also partially sandblasted for extra glare control.

In a project where sustainability is a concern, WE-EF is able to provide customised lighting solutions addressing matters of dark sky and night sensitive lighting with our in-house LED energy-efficient optics as well as a comfortable light source suitable for residential applications.
