DYNAMIC FOCUS ON THE UNICORN

The Unicorn sculpture is the focal point in front of the new office, retail, and hotel building – The Unicorn Bangkok. Made from shiny, stainless steel, the Unicorn sculpture provides a wonderfully reflective surface which allows for natural light in the day and colourful dynamic lighting at night to continuously highlight the many angled surfaces of the sculpture. This creates a stunning visual landmark to visitors approaching at ground level as well as those making their way to The Unicorn via the conveniently located skywalk bridge from the nearby BTS station. Using compact yet powerful WE-EF inground ETC340-GB CC adjustable luminaires, the designer was able to achieve precise and dynamic colourful lighting to illuminate the full 4-metre height of the sculpture. The designer also chose WE-EF because of the trust they have in the reliability of our inground luminaires to withstand the worst of the weather conditions without affecting the luminaires’ performance.

Hotel guests and visitors arriving by car will find a well-lit entrance and driveway lit by VFL530 street luminaires providing safety and comfort to drivers and guests. The simple geometric shape of the luminaires blends seamlessly with the modern building design.
